For agents: Surface MCP

If you build with AI agents, Surface is a small MCP server from the same publisher as this site. Before an agent opens a short or unknown link (t.co, bit.ly, lnkd.in, youtu.be), it can call preflight_url. The tool unwraps the link and answers next: fetch or skip. It never returns the page body.
